Cookie Policy
Version 2026-10-09
We use one strictly necessary cookie when you sign in, and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social media cookies.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Set when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
dbh_session | Dataset By Humans | Keeps you signed in to your account. Strictly necessary, so it does not need consent; it holds a random token, not your details | 30 days, or until you sign out | Only when you sign in or create an account |
_ga | Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Distinguishes visitors so we can count unique users | 2 years | Only after you click Accept |
_ga_4JNK62TPJE | Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Keeps the state of your visit (session) | 2 years | Only after you click Accept |
Google Analytics tells us which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site (for example from a search engine) and the approximate country and device type. We use it only to improve the site. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not combine this data with anything else we hold about you.
Your choice
- Accept: the cookies above are set and Google Analytics measures your visit.
- Reject: no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics then receives only basic signals without cookies or identifiers (Google's "consent mode"), such as that a page was viewed, which cannot be linked to you or to your other visits.
The buttons are equally easy to use, and the site works the same whichever you choose. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing cookies and site data for datasetbyhumans.com in your browser. Rejecting does not delete cookies already set; clear them in your browser if you want them gone.
We store your choice in your browser's local storage (dbh-analytics-consent) so we do not ask again on every page. It is not sent to us or to Google.
Other storage
- Fonts and site files are served from our own domain; we do not load Google Fonts or other third-party font services.
- Your browser keeps its normal cache of our pages and images. This is not used to identify or track you.

If we add other cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where it is required.
